Seems like a good idea . Except there's a pretty big problem . It's great when you have room . What do you do if your up close to something you can't move . Like a wall or a house. If your putting in a ground level deck your not attaching to the house . You still have to put support right next to the house.And there's no room for the big 2x4. Were will you get the leverage to get it to your hight?

Ive never used heat shrink on wood before i normally save that for electrical 😂

Just wondering why you used composite pieces for the structural components, since it is not rated for use as structural pieces?

While not having the screws showing up on the top of the boards is a super clean way to install deck boards, it is unfortunate that we can not use that style/technique here on the Gulf Coast. We can not use this technique due to the high winds/storms that are quite common. We need to use 3 screws across the face of the boards, straight down on the first three ends joists and then alternate between two and three until we reach the outer three joists.
